This policy describes what personal information SetupSignal ("we", "us") collects when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum we need to run an account-based subscription product.

2. What we collect

  • Account data. Your email address and authentication details, handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
  • Billing data. Subscription status and payment details, handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Settings you provide. Preferences such as an optional Discord webhook URL and notification message, stored so we can deliver the alerts you configure.
  • Usage data. Basic product analytics (pages viewed, features used) and server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.

3. How we use it

  • Operating the Service: signing you in, showing your dashboard, delivering alerts you set up.
  • Billing and managing your subscription.
  • Sending service emails about your account or important changes.
  • Understanding aggregate usage to improve the product.
  • Detecting abuse and keeping the Service secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Only service providers that operate parts of the product on our behalf: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), our hosting and analytics providers, and Discord (only if you configure a webhook, in which case alert content is sent to the webhook URL you supplied). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage needed for authentication sessions and, where enabled, analytics. Blocking essential cookies will prevent signing in.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed for legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us; we will action requests within 30 days, except records we must retain (such as billing history).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at the email below and we will honor applicable requests.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
